Rules Clarifications:

One important function of the IWF is to produce sets of clarifications for the official game rules used in its competitions. This work has been very successful in harmonising game-play throughout the world with the clarifications also being widely used by local competition organisers.

The IWF are always keen to get feedback on the clarifications from both members and individuals or organisations currently outside the IWF. The best mechanism to provide feedback is of course through a local member organisation of the IWF as they have the power to actively sponsor changes within the IWF structures. All other feedback can be sent to clarifications@theIWF.org and will be examined by the Rules and Umpires Standing Committee of the IWF. Be warned however that new sets of clarifications are normally only issued on an annual basis.
