Ad Hoc and Standing Committees:

These committees are all sub-committees of the Executive Committee. They do much of the ongoing work of the IWF, focusing on particular or recurring work items and reporting back to the Management Board and Executive Committee. All standing committees are appointed by the Executive Committee, ad hoc committees may additionally be appointed by the Management Board or President.

Currently Existing Standing Committees:

• Rules and Umpire's Committee: Responsible for generating clarifications for all periods played at IWF championships, and also for the accrediting of umpires.
• IWF Glicko Ratings Committee : Are responsible for defining the framework for international Glicko ratings to be maintained by the IWF.
